The State Secretariat for Migration SEM publishes its Migration Report as a digital edition on the web. The website fulfils the SEM’s mandate to provide information and presents content, graphics and statistical analyses in a clear and accessible manner.

The concept and design were developed in collaboration with the communication design agency Emphase; we are responsible for the technical implementation and further development. The implementation is based on Craft CMS with a frontend built using Next.js. Content, text and data visualisations are interwoven and presented as a coherent reading flow.

We continue to maintain the website and integrate new editions into the existing structure. The report thus remains accessible in the long term and comparable across multiple years. The work has been recognised with awards including the Swiss Viz Award and the European Design Award.
